So I'm going to pick back up my engineering degree soonish, however, I've been out of class for a couple years and pretty much forgotten all the calculus I've learned. I was taking MA 242 when I dropped out.
Are there any good books, programs, etc that you can recommend for a good refresher? 1/26/2010 1:21:30 PM |

^^like he said
Was in your shoes not too long ago and thats how i refreshed my memory. the book just teaches the conventional way for learning calculus. I think its about the most proper way to learn it.

people may laugh but the 'for Dummies' series of books are really quite good for intro/refresher uses. 1/26/2010 1:48:56 PM |

I used my old book to refresh mine. If you need a classroom enviroment, audit a CC class. The class will be MUCH smaller, probably smaller than your hs calc class.

Them Eyetaleeuns built the big ass pigeon's nest in Rome thousands of years ago, which still stands... I am sure they can teach you a thing or two about calculus 1/26/2010 3:02:44 PM |

Buy an older copy of Stewart's Calculus. It's the book I always suggest for examples and practice problems to the students I tutor. 1/26/2010 3:03:03 PM |
