I listen to NPR all the time except for in the mornings when I listen to Brad & Britt (unless Brad is on vacation and all Britt does is talk about wrestling. . .)

I love Carl Kassell's voice. Every time he does the news update I :swoon: and Ken makes fun of me. I used to say, before I knew you could win his voice for your voicemail, that I would love for him to record a voice message for me. Maybe I will win it one day. Don't think that is likely.

For you cats who like Fresh Air I highly recommend tuning in just 30mins before to catch Marketplace. Even if you aren't big on economic stuff the stories alone are very enjoyable.

what's funny is that it keeps me awake while driving, most all talk radio does (for late night, bbc news or coast to coast am are the best) where as regular music will put me to sleep if i'm tired

BBC is okay but once you get through the first hour it gets dreadfully repetitive unless you can catch Lucy Calloway and whatever she is ranting about that particular week.

About the only show that I just can't get into it The Splendid Table. I've tried but other than her segments about organic/sustainable cooking I just can't see myself making half the stuff she talks about.

I also recommend On the Media and Radiolab. You certainly won't be sorry!

Me too. I listen to NPR all the time, and my top 3 are Car Talk, Wait Wait, and Marketplace.

I listen to it 80% of the time I'm in the car. I'd contribute if I had any money.

Mostly I'm big on the news programs, The Story, This American Life, and Prairie Home Companion.

I try to like Wait, Wait -- my boy PJ O'Rourke is on there a lot -- but I just cannot get into it.

Marketplace is surprisingly good. It would always come on during my commute from campus so I used to listen all the time. Not so much these days

It's about all that I listen to in the car, now.
