6500K florescent bulbs work fine.

Go with a redder bulb to encourage flowering.

I don't get hardly any direct sunlight into the house (and then for less than an hour in a go). I just need to replicate sunlight.

Get something similar to the "Sun Blaze T5 High Output Fluorescent System" and a stand here:

I'd get at least a 4 bulb fixture. You will need a redder bulb to encourage the plants to bloom and fruit.

Yeah...for seedlings, stick with 6500K bulbs.

Run the lamp about 18 hours a day (a wall plug timer from Home Despot, Lowe's, etc. is useful).
