my last two bosses have both had AOL addresses and would not move to Outlook/company domain. i finally got one of them to switch over to outlook and he basically said "holy shit, this makes so much more sense" but the other one wont even consider it.
and his screename is from another company 2/17/2010 3:46:14 PM |

executive of what department? If they're not technical at all I don't see why they would know any better. My dad would probably still be using his nc.rr.com or before that AOL account if I didn't tell him otherwise.2/17/2010 3:47:35 PM |

Yeah seriously...I don't know why people tie in their email accounts to their service provider. 2/17/2010 3:53:37 PM |

I'm working at a company with over 5,000 employees. They're contracting out the replacement of one of their largest, most important systems. The lead developer of this replacement product has an AOL account.
I said lead developer.

What's the big deal? Are you fags seriously getting uppity about a damn email address? What's next -- arguing over a file format?
Do you think something like gmail.com is cool? 2/18/2010 12:01:38 AM |

your email address (or, rather, the domain at which your email is hosted) says a lot about you as a person. 2/18/2010 12:16:00 AM |

AOL used to be perceived as being for people who didn't really understand what they were doing or have a real understanding of what the Internet actually was.
And that was over a decade ago. Now you have to wonder if they still regularly use a computer at all or if they just have a mental handicap.
