^^they decide entry based on top 11 of the acc. the matchups are made later based on the current quality of the teams.

overall record has no bearing on acc seeding.

tiebreakers:

1) head to head
2) record against number 1 team (if not in the tiebreak)
3) record against number 2 team (if not in the tiebreak)
etc

and if none of that decides the seed, a coinflip is used.

also: if the tie involves more than two teams, if one of these steps breaks that tiebreak, then they are placed and the remaining start the process over.

State comes down and goes inside to Smith. He misses. BC rebound.

We immediately foul. BC hits both free throws. BC by 3.

We bring the ball down, looking for Painter to hit the 3. He's guarded.

We look to Vandenberg. He's guarded.

Halfway between the top of the key and the corner, Javi finds an open Dennis Horner.

Horner pump-fakes several times, with no one near him, until the clock expires.
