As it appears Seneca Wallace may end up as the Browns starter, it may be worthwhile to consider/reconsider Russell Wilson's pro prospects. Wilson has similar measurables to Wallace, much better passing stats in college, and will have more experience than Seneca Wallace entering the NFL.
Seneca Wallace was obviously a project and a 4th round pick, but does illustrate that a similar college QB can have a professional future in football. 3/10/2010 2:43:51 PM |

I'm not getting why the Browns would pick up Seneca over Troy Smith. They are pretty similar QB's, and Troy has played pretty well when given the chance. Also, you'd think an Ohio team would want to pick up a guy who is beloved in the state. 3/10/2010 2:48:21 PM |

I think Wallace had a more speed in college than Wilson, but Wilson might have a more accurate arm. It would be great if Wilson could somehow make the NFL one day, but if that happened, I'd be pretty much shocked. 3/10/2010 2:49:24 PM |

Wilson is a better college QB, but Wallace is much more athletic. I don't know about the arm strength of Wallace, but Wilson would be below average for the NFL
I think if things fall right for him (he really needs to measure at 5'11 or higher to have any shot) he might be able to make it as a back up but that's about it 3/10/2010 3:22:13 PM |

he is way too short to be a NFL QB. Brees is 6 foot so dont even bring that up.
Wilson is no where close to Wallace when it comes to measurables as well as experience in NFL.
this thread is dumb. 3/10/2010 3:43:03 PM |

I'd venture to say that hiring Holmgren was a good decision. He had Seneca for years in Seattle and saw what he is capable of so that's probably where this move is coming from.3/10/2010 4:39:20 PM |

I know that's why Holm brought Wallace in, but ffs, he was playing WR at times! 3/10/2010 5:00:13 PM |
