Is there any way to access a microsoft access .mdb file on a mac? I've tried to use openoffice base, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any help would be much appreciated. 3/14/2010 7:08:49 PM |

bootcamp, parallels, vmfusion?
I don't think any edition of Office for Mac comes with Access. 3/14/2010 7:12:02 PM |

Most mdb files should be able to be opened up in Excel (or the open office version of excel). I have done it many times before. 3/14/2010 8:39:45 PM |

This is a bit technical, but it looks worthwhile if you can get it working:

Thanks to all for the help! For whatever reason, open office for mac does not have the option to open access files, but open office for pc does. I'm sure there's some reason, I just find that odd. 3/15/2010 8:27:50 AM |

^Glad you were able to get it figured out. I use mdb's everyday at the company I work for....if I had thought about it I should have offered to convert it to an xls file for you...doh! 3/15/2010 10:40:49 PM |
