I'm staying at the Westin NY at Times Square (corner of 43rd & 8th) for an entire week.
Today I walked all around, took the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge and walked all the way back to the hotel, hitting up Canal St. etc.
What should I do while I'm here? What's fun? Good bars? Good eats?! 3/21/2010 7:34:04 PM |

I, too, need this advice... I'll be there April 9th and 10th.
I know one thing that I'm going to see is the Tim Burton exhibit at MoMA 3/21/2010 7:41:03 PM |

I just got back from a trip to NY.
We went to the natural history museum, and tried to go to the Met (not realizing it was closed Mondays -- FYI). Both places have some neat exhibits and you can get in for free (there is a "suggested" donation of like 15 bucks or something).
Took a walk through some of central park and saw Belvedere Castle.
Went to the museum of sex...was interesting but overpriced at $15 (wait, nvm thats normal pricing for NY).
We also took the Staten Island ferry just for fun to see the statue of liberty.
If you're into broadway shows you could hit up the TKTS booth in times square and try to get some cheapo tickets. They sell tickets day of (I think you can also get some matinee stuff the day before though), so you could walk over there right as it opens and see what you can get. http://www.tdf.org/TDF_ServicePage.aspx?id=56&%20do=v 3/21/2010 8:15:15 PM |
