Apparently he worked out for NFL scouts:
http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/2/956378.html
Kind of a long shot but it would be awesome to see him get drafted. He would always play his ass off on the court.

he always did look like a linebacker when he was on the floor. i guess playing semi-pro basketball in ireland gets tiresome pretty quickly.

this one time, i took a shit that looked just like a train hitting a baby. so i ran to the nearest train station and, sure enough, saw a car stuck on the tracks with a baby inside and a train coming full speed. i ran, tried to lift the car up-dhorn style- then realized i was just some skinny kid without superpowers. the train hit the car. every died.
but the moral of the story is, that dookie inspired me.

If he could post a good enough 40 time Oakland would take him with their first pick. They have to play Gates twice a year after all.

Why wouldn't he try to play a year of college ball first?

Or did he already use up all 5 years of eligibility?

Probably

2 years there, 1 to transfer, 2 years here

Too bad

That kid from Arizona who played football at Houston this year will probably get drafted eve tho he only caught 2 passes all season

6'6", 250, 4.48

Fendi something

He played in middle school. I wish Simon the best but sometimes he lets his head get a little too big.

w/ no consideration for tact, i saw him in the atrium a few years back and asked him about johnny thomas' injury (when it was still unclear what had actually happened). he was really nice about it. i'm a fan.

Just for clarification the Cowboys have not signed him as an undrafted free agent.

According to their website Harris will be invited to rookie minicamp on a tryout basis only.

Saw Simon tonight... he's in great shape, says he's still working out with a bunch of teams.

Any media updates on him?

http://uwire.com/2010/06/24/former-nc-state-basketball-player-discusses-professional-football-aspirations/

from the Technician article above:
Quote :
"Technician: Does this mean Wolfpack fans can expect to see you in a Cowboy uniform this fall?

Harris: As of now, I’m pretty much banking on a no from the Cowboys. I would have known by now if they wanted for me this year. Right now it is more or less a matter of keeping my options open. I will probably take the year off, train, and go back at it next year.

Technician: How confident are you that you are capable of becoming a successful NFL tight end?

Harris: I’m extremely confident. For me to have not played in a decade and been invited to work out with pretty much the premier team in the league, that was big time. It was a huge blessing for me to get that far. For me to get positive feedback from them, them saying, ‘Keep at it,’ that was awesome. The tryout with the Cowboys was a huge boost for my confidence. I haven’t played the game since I was 13 years old and I worked out with one of the top five franchises in sports. Not yet hearing back from them hasn’t knocked my confidence at all. It was an awesome opportunity. The way I look at it, for them to tell me, ‘Stick at it and keep working out, you never know what can happen,’ that is not a no. I have heard different people get nos and they are sitting at home right now wondering what their next move is."
