My wife sent nearly 9000 texts last month. I sent maybe 3. She likes to text her sister and one friend religiously. I gave up trying to convince her that it is easier to just call the person. She knows better than to text me. I hate it.

some people text instead of talk and these kids do texting instead of talk on ghcat. It really isn't that strange considering they can text almost as fast as most adults type.

i was at the beach with my girlfriend's family this weekend and her sister easily sent 100 texts in a period of two hours or more.

that could come in handy for driving, especially if you're using speaker phone or something. Most of those apps can also be used for email, which can be convenient. Typing out an email on a phone can be cumbersome if its somewhat long.

Actually, text is very worthwhile! I use it on a daily basis at work! Great way to keep up with what's going on outside the office without being "that guy" in a meeting. I don't have to leave unless it's an emergency or duck out because of a phone call. I probably do it a lot too.
