I ended up opting out of most emails from Facebook, so that it only emails when someone comments on my status, writes on my wall, or comments on my pictures/pictures I'm tagged in.

You still get the notifications when you log into Facebook, but you don't get the annoying emails.

I can only think of two annoying facebook friends from my friend list:
1. Girl who constantly posts inspirational quotes from Dave Matthews Band and The Bible. Nothing against DMB or The Bible, but it really makes me wonder what is going on in this girl's head. All the quotes are about perseverance; something she seems to barely (if that) be doing. I like this girl and her husband, so I hope she can figure her shit out and get her life back on track. Not going to de-friend this one since I do care about them.

2. Slightly overweight slut with two kids from different daddies. This girl constantly posts things like "WHY DO PEOPLE GET UPSET WHEN I TRY TO DISCUSS SEX TOYS" or "I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY GIRLS WHO ENJOY SEX GET A BAD RAP" and things like that. Loves to put out and can barely find someone to fuck as far as I can tell. Recently asked one of my friends (who is in a serious relationship) whether he is married by posting said question on his profile. Probably going to de-friend this one pretty soon...Been planning to do a friend purge and get rid of a lot of people anyway.

just fyi i think you can turn off receiving notifications if you comment on someone's status or like it and then other people do. that way you don't get the email floods.

and hide people that constantly update about like werid stuff. i do that. i'm sure people have hidden me hahaha. but like i had a scammer friend that was doing some pyramid scheme thing that she always updated with and i just hid her.
