The domain name right away gets your hopes up. The truth is that in order to get anything free out of this site, you have to give them 1$ and a credit card number. The process of signing up is simple until about the third step. There is a barrage of information, I am not aware of how to just get the freescore, so I unintentionally started a trial with 24assistance. The top of the next page that loaded said that there was an error, but the rest of the page said an email was sent and just follow that. No email came. I waited for about 1-2 days before cancelling. Now this is the next fun part. You have to call them to cancel. I’m not fond of calling places mainly because it takes more time. In any case they seemed to have cancelled it. I don’t know if it’s really a scam but for a period of 2 days I was officially on the 7 day trial and got nothing. Approach this site with caution.
Summary - Requires Debit/Credit Card and charges 1$ [not free] - after 7 days of a free trial period your automatically put into a 29.95$ month membership - sign up maybe problematic - they don’t complicate things when you try to cancel over the phone

^^ correct, and there is no way to see your numerical credit scores for no-strings-attached-free. You have to buy it from someone, or give them all of your info with the hope of them billing you and you forgetting to cancel. 4/26/2010 4:42:34 PM |

I'm about 99% positive you don't have to sign up for anything at quizzle.com to get your credit score.
I think they ask you if you want to sign up... but if you say no, they give you your score and you go on your merry way.
(Unlike most other places, who just sign you up for stuff or won't give you the score)

^ the quizzle score is just their own score that they are calculating based on an experian credit report. it is not an actual experian credit score (which would be calculated by experian).
it may be somewhat useful but don't expect to walk into a bank with your quizzle score printout expecting to be approved for something. 4/26/2010 5:48:52 PM |
