Haven't even looked at the field in any detail. The only thing I got so far is the favorite got stuck on the rail. Doesnt look good.

the rail isnt a bad thing though...no traffic to worry with.

people make too much about the whole rail thing.

I like Conveyance.

4/4 in its starts...front runner with a lot of speed and stamina...sloppy track and a grey. Bob training...give me the 12.

A horse hasn't won starting on the rail position since 1986. But Lookin At Lucky could be the one.

The only problem with posting at the rail today on this track is that it appears to be slow. If you're watching right now, I agree with the announcers, All the winners are coming from the outside and the middle of the track, the rail seems fine, but seems wet too.

Sidney's Candy

but that's just for the "Joe Talamo as young jockey" storyline

from post #20, it's a long shot

though not nearly as long as it would be on a dry track, of course

So we are pretending we give a shit about horse racing, now? Drinking, gambling, and bitches in sun dresses required to make this interesting.

That pretty much sums it up. I only care about horse racing 3 weekend out of the year. Although when I lived in El Paso we went to Sunland Park Downs a lot and that was pretty fun.

Thats because most of your stalkers/closers that train that way that win probably 80% of races close and stalk on the outside. They sweep the outside to in and run in the 3 path.

If you are a sprinter you will win on the inside rail because you stay there all run...

chances are a sprinter will win because most horses hate running with mud in their face...thats why I think Conveyance wins.

^^ You are correct

I didn't say what I meant to say very well. My bad. Not really an issue anymore as it has poured all afternoon since I made that comment. There's not a "dry" spot on the track right now.
