Jesse is a friend, yeah, I know he's been a good friend of mine. But lately something's changed that ain't hard to define. Jesse's gotten made a mod and I wanna know why.

I've long regarded Jeepin4x4 as an e-friend. I've never met the man, but for the majority of my nearly three year tenure on these boards, I've enjoyed most of what he's had to say, and I think he feels likewise. We live in the same town and share several of the same interests, from discussing television programs to bitching about the Panthers to contemplating the merits of a good beer. So we've always been able to strike a friendly accord with most of our postings.

I've known he was one of the hated TKE, who I've loathed for some time now and go out of my way to shit on. But our friendship persevered. He wasn't obnoxious and grating like most of his cohorts, and he didn't use he allegiances as some sort of e-currency to get what he wanted.

Until now. As a normal poster, Jeepin4x4 is a credit to this site. He's insightful, inquisitive and can name the Primetime schedule on every network 5 days of the week. He's not intergral, but he's a nice piece of the puzzle.

But as a moderator, his flaws start to become more apparent. He's shown no history of conflict resolution, and he hasn't demonstrated a good grasp of the checks and balances of the system here. On multiple occasions I've seen him dismiss what he deems to be unruly users with insinuating comments such as "bad fruit", "asshole"...even "faggot. He's quick to argue with someone who doesn't share his viewpoint and hasn't shown he's willing to admit guilt when proven wrong.

But Slave, you do those same things! I know, which is exactly why I shouldn't and won't ever even be considered for mod status. And neither should have Jeepin4x4. I would like an explanation of the due diligence that was taken and the process that was conducted that resulted in this appointment. I think something fishy is going on.
