"NC State Engineering student Chris Roth is developing an independent online classified listings system for NC State students, faculty, and staff. While other popular classified sites like Craigslist and Uloop are good, many students would prefer to connect with other students on a site made specifically for NCSU. Roth's project, the NC State Stuff Exchange, aims to address this in providing the university with a non-generic, local classified ads system with all of the big-site features and searchabillity. The project finally went online five days ago and is now accepting posts from students. The Housing section is beginning to boom with over 50 views per listing per 24-hour period, says Roth, and students and housing/apartment renters are already beginning to find each other successfully. The other categories - books, electronics, jobs, and gear, are waiting for students to contribute. Three more categories - bikes, tickets, and auto - are expected to be online within the next few days, and long-term sub-projects include implementing an interactive university events calendar."

There's no registration page that gives it the "only NCSU" factor. This is just a craiglist page with NCSU themes.

Uloop is actually good about being restricted to ".edu" email addresses
