does anyone know if I quit jun 1st or 3rd, do I still get health ins for that month?

or do I have to pay COBRA for it?

pretty sure your health insurance cuts off when you stop working

so you'd need COBRA as soon as you quit

yeah your insurance coverage stops the day you are no longer employed....they don't pay benefits to people that don't work there anymore

furthermore you only have to purchase cobra if you need it and can wait up to 90-180 days to purchase i believe

if you quit june 3rd, your HR dept will send you a cobra enrollment form within 45 or 60 days (forget which). if you choose to enroll with COBRA, even if you don't send in the completed paperwork until july 10, your cobra benefits will apply beginning june 4

it depends on your employer. I quit last week but my health insurance doesn't end until the end of the month. Then after the end of the month, I can pay COBRA

some places (especially larger corporate firms) will take the full months insurance premiums from your final pay and you're covered thru the end of the month.

as stated, it depends on your employer. I left at the end of april, but am insured through May.
