^the 36" Polaroid I have is very, very similar to like a Vizio in quality. Speakers are mush, but the picture is not too bad. Not the blacks of a plasma, but the refresh rate is the best of the 3 TV's in the house. Guitar hero calibrates in the 2-3ms offset range. If you've got a stereo or home theater for your sound you'll be in great shape.

i actually think the sound is fine. not theater quality but definitely sufficient.

i think i paid like $800 or something like that when it was new. i have been the only owner and it has gone through 2 moves. no damage.
