if you call they will over-night it to you at no cost. i called at 4pm one day and it arrived at my house the next day around 2pm. 5/20/2010 7:05:23 PM |

not all warranties are the same; for example a state/govt contract warranty is much better than a private.
I worked for the State in IT for 4 years and not even a 300 computer business can get guaranteed overnight warranty replacement parts (we bought thinkpads). 5/20/2010 9:39:24 PM |

They have a service center in ATL. That's how they get them to this area lickety split.
But I'm not aware of somewhere you can just roll up and get it replaced. If it's an emergency you may want to look into Radioshack at one of their universal chargers until the new one comes. 5/21/2010 2:43:35 PM |

^ There are a few differences, but most of them have to do with how you get into support queues, how they respond to requests (i.e. go through a script vs. just put in a part order), etc. The support you get from Dell, for example, varies a bit depending on the warranty coverage. But an average consumer won't have as much choice. 5/22/2010 6:20:48 PM |

um, this is completely not true. if i put in a dell WPD dispatch by 4pm, the part is in my office by 10:30am the next day.
not to mention, we have agreements with some of our vendors to keep stock of spare parts on site.]5/28/2010 2:00:41 AM |
