anyone having trouble uploading attachments, say at least 1.5MB?

I cant answer your question, but...

If you are having problems with it, its gonna show up with all gmail accounts, not just ncsu gmail accounts.

in this case, they are actually the same... google hosts everything.
the only NCSU servers involved for NCSU gmail accounts are the mail relays for ncsu.edu which pass it off to the googlemail.com relays.
