Anybody got any recommendations of where I could find a transfer case for a 2004 Jeep Wrangler? Old one is cracked.

Don't know the proper name of it, but it's cracked around the bell housing and shell for the rear driveshaft. To the right of the NP tag and barcode sticker.

^let me know if you've got one laying around
^^jeepman is the kinda response I'm looking for, sorry didn't clarify.

I've got an old account at nc4x4. Tried doing a search but will post a wtb later I guess.

slip yoke eliminator replaces that part right?

you could probably find a used one cheaper and not have to buy a drive shaft.

that'd be the tailshaft housing. I played "if I were a transfer case part in Jeepman's house/garage where would I be?" but then remembered that I sold the one (attached to tcase) that I had.

If I were you I'd call 4wheelparts or east coast gear supply. They both should have some of those housings laying around from sye swaps like ^ said.

the tailshaft housing and the actual housing that holds the chain/gears are both cracked around that bolt. I think I've got a local one secured for $600 with 20k miles.
