"The Gainsborough Trio of New York - a cellist, a flutist and a violinist played special music selected by Sandra Honeycutt, mother of the bride, including the traditional "Wedding March" by Wagoner and "Hornpipe" by Handel's Water Music as the recessional. The wedding gown was Bali by Ian Stuart, a gold metallic gown in taffeta cangiante and the finest beaded French lace, embellished with sequins and beads. The fitted bodice has a flattering sweetheart neckline and lace-covered shoulder straps. The mermaid skirt and train have godet panels, which created a beautiful swirling effect when walking. Proceeds from the purchase of this gown went toward Making Memories - BABC national tour. The bride wore crystal cluster drop earrings made of freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and rhinestone balls joined together. The groom wore a black suit by Enzo Tavare. The groom’s boutonnière consisted of two dendrobium orchids vertically aligned. The bridal bouquet was a cluster of white cattleya orchids delivered from Venezuela with stems tightly wrapped in a double band of Swarovski crystals. David Lloyd, brother of the groom, of Rocky Mount, NC and Sandra Honeycutt, mother of the bride, were witnesses to the marriage. The couple rode off in a horse-drawn carriage in the Park and the streets of Manhattan. Family reunited at 5:00 p.m. for the reception held at The View Restaurant at Times Square inside the Marriott Marquis. The couple's wedding cake was round tiered vanilla with butter cream filling and fondant with each tier accented with a triple band of Swarovski crystals. "

Bling bling. I wonder if there's any correlation between the price of the wedding cake and the rate of divorce.

what's funny is that our cake, while sounding expensive is probably 1/2 to 1/4 the price of that... or most other wedding cakes

well the orchids are pretty at least. I think its funny that they make a big deal over their origin being Venezuela.

back in the day we almost sold out to them, and thought about working with them to machine cut our stones.

They own the biggest share in machine cut stones and own almost all the synthetics.
I am pretty sure that I worked with Daniel Swarovski, on of the great grandsons. He was hot. One of those super well dressed aristocratic Europeans.
