The fair always seems like an awesome idea until I'm 5 feet inside the main gate

I am so excited to go to the fair this year. I miss the maple cotton candy and the animal displays

I like to gamble, I'll enjoy going to some of the shows, I'll enjoy the food and a nice hotel room.
I don't like rednecks.

you're gonna run into some trashy folks in Vegas. I went to Cali a few weeks ago for a friends birthday and we did a spontaneous trip to Vegas and we booked through that priceline name your own price thing and got hooked up with like a $35 room (Luxor) and when we got there asked to upgrade and paid 70 more to get a 1000 sq. feet luxury suite that was bomb.com

Vegas also has like $8-12 beers in casinos unless you're gambling at moderately high risk tables, which I do not. buy your own beer from a convenient store b/c you can bring it into many casinos. maybe not a case, but some 22oz.'s or something

pollstar.com is the best site to find concert listings

October is the most beautiful month in NC imho. The fair is great (love the food and the Graham building). Taking a trip to Ashevile down the Blue Ridge Parkway with the amazing views and colorful leaves is unparalleled. Outer Banks would also be nice at that time of year. Can't think of much else that's October specific

you're doing it wrong.

you can get free beers at penny slots. you can get free beers at $5 blackjack tables. you can sit down at a blackjack table or slot or wherever (probably not craps, since it's crowded and you'd be standing) with a case of milwaukee's best ice if you wanted to. bellagio/encore/wynn/venetian might have an issue with the case, but you wouldn't be playing cheap tables there now would you?

^ yeah seriously, I was brought free drinks continuously playing 5 cent video poker. especially if you tip the waitress a dollar or two she'll keep coming back.

I agree, every year me and ambrosia1231 go camping on the parkway, and spend our days driving up and down to different towns. We found a great produce market where you can get apples by the bushel and hot apple pies. Also Asheville is famous for its craft beers. We usually run into a beer festival without even planning to.

Skydiving is a good idea. Also, Muse is playing at RBC center at the end of the month, the 26th...not sure if that's sold out though.
