The bottom line is that you can find anything in anything if you're looking for it. These people are looking for it and regardless of how far of a stretch it is, they find it. Again, the problem is that when they point it out people are quick to give them attention and give in which reinforces their belief that they're right. It's been getting worse and it will continue until you just can't take a piss without offending some group.

This one is so obvious I can't believe it even made the news.

I mean, the "black hole" dude probably doesn't have to look that hard to find obvious racism on a daily basis. He clearly reacted to the wrong thing, but very real racial tensions still run high in those situations, and I think it's unfair to judge him based on that one exchange.
