I got a ticket, but i have a 30 day tag. Should i pay it or can they even enforce that shit since my tag will be different in like a week

For what it's worth I got a $50 ticket on campus when I was a senior. I graduated and eventually got a new car and they never once followed up after the original citation. This was like five years ago..

for the summer any parking pass allows you to park in all spots except a,b,c, and sv. so any RE or RW plus the decks. find the cheapest pass to buy for the summer and use wherever you want.

story not related to campus:

i got two parking tickets in the course of about two weeks on philadelphia (which sucked). when i went to pay them online, apparently i had an unpaid ticket from 5 or so years prior. i'm pretty sure it was bullshit b/c the date would've made me 16, and i don't recall ever driving to philadelphia that young, but the point is that apparently philadelphia does nothing at all about unpaid parking tickets.

before they went to those fancy visitor passes i would get one like every couple of months and just use it everywhere around campus.

Wrong. Have you never seen the show Parking Wars on A&E? They will boot and tow your car with a quickness if you accumulate too many fines. It's hilarious sometimes. People boo the meter maids and have lookouts and stuff. Not to mention the events at the tow lot.

^^^ Those new visitor passes are a trip. They're really nice with an emblem and everything. They also take 5 minutes to print out, and I swear the University must lose money on them.

The system on campus is all sorts of messed up.

I let Quinn borrow my parking permit when I was out of work for a week and added his car to the list of license plates that could use my permit.

Flashforward like 3 months, his car (which no longer has my permit on it, but his license plate is still eligible to use my parking permit) gets a ticket.

They send me the ticket, not him. The whole thing was fucked. Easily resolved, but still ridiculous.

everytime i got a ticket on campus, i just went and stole some fuckers license plate and swapped the shit so the next time i parked it was like a totally different car that they were ticketing

They charge campus police $300/mo in parking fees.

Regardless of how you feel about campus police (there are indeed a few good ones, actually)...$300 a fucking month?

I don't know if this is the same price that all other staff/faculty pay. If not, and it's higher: wtf? If not, and it's lower: "wtf", from other employees. If it is: how, exactly, does NCSU think it has any right to fuss about money?
