As I passed through security at Bradley Int. Airport, I noticed that several of the female TSA employees had fupas. I counted only at the security checkpoint and all 11 female TSA employees had them... is this unusual, or is this the norm amongst TSA employees?

I'll attempt to post a link from my phone, although it will be the mobile version:

http://urbandictionary.com/iphone/#define?term=fupa

...even though I'm not using an iPhone.

@NyM410, I live in central Massachusetts and I'm flying to Detroit for the weekend... I just heard a last call for a flight to Raleigh and genuinely wanted to hop a plane and move south early.

Are you that dumb? Detroit was in Guinness for the largest suburbs a few years back... I'm not sure if the city still holds the title, but the burbs are still vast, nonetheless.

@Tarun, I used to have an uncle that lived in Royal Oak... I have family in Farmington, Troy, and Birmingham.

i think the PC term is "flight attendant"

and they're all old and fucking cranky

except on my air vietnam and air china flights. then they were cute with cute outfits.

but i was only on those flights IN asia so that sucked. then i had to fly stupid united (NEVAR AGAIN, except to use my ffm from my last trip) and i had THE WORST flight attendants of all time on a broken ass plane for like 17 hours.

i used to want to be a flight attendant when i was little. so over that.

^^^^ sorry, sir. I'll try harder. I need a grammar coach.

And really, I just wanted an excuse to see a picture of Carrie Underwood. I haven't seen an "air waitress" that hasn't been 50 years old, overweight and annoying in a long time... and I actually flew quite a bit the last few years.

I've never been to Asia and it's not high on my list of places I want to go to still that I haven't. But someday...

I'm trying to think of a relevant NC city comparison to Springfield but I'm drawing a blank. The bad parts of Durham?

Anyway, it is God awful and when I used to to go AHL games there I never felt safe. But the Big E and Riverside were always cool to go to when I was in high school and younger.

^^^ short is good, but I'll pass on the young part (though, sadly quite a few of the people I know wouldn't )

hahaha i mean young as in not like 50 year olds.

but it totally sounded creepy. i don't think "asian" and "young" can be put in a sentence together and not come off wrong.

whoops!

stewardess in non-american airlines are hawt! as for United, if they weren't the cheapest, i would never fly them. i've had my share of problems with United. they're still better than US Airways though. they're the worst.

Wait, have US airlines gone all equal opportunity when it comes to air hostesses? This is news to me! So does this mean you could be a 250 pound middle aged woman with an ugly face and get the job???!!!

I have only flown Arab, Asian, and European airlines, and they have always been slim, mostly young, and usually pretty good looking. I thought it was like that the world over...?

Not all of them. I've definitely had some cranky hags on some of my domestic flights.

But most countries in Asia don't have equal opportunity laws, so the airlines fire you or "convince" you to quit before you get too old and crotchety.

I guess I'm really lucky but I've never had serious issues with United and I've flown then a lot in the past four years.

I saw some epic racial profiling today in Detroit... 4 Middle Eastern looking guys getting "randomly" asked to be pulled aside and searched/scanned.
