i just finished the dessert for our family picnic this afternoon...i made it up, so i'm not sure how it'll turn out, but it's like a blackberry buckle (pureed blackberries in the batter) with whole blackberries swirled into the cake and a blackberry glaze on top

if it's not obvious, my dad loves blackberries

and the blackberries are all from my bushes! we have so many blackberries, i don't know quite what to do with them

learn to make some jam, its really easy. and if you dont use it all throughout the year it also makes a good gift

well, i know how to make the jam (my parents have canned and jarred and whatever else as long as i can remember), but i don't have the time for it...i'll probably just freeze it like i did last year and use it for smoothies
