Independents & Democrats can vote in the statewide Senate runoff. Some areas in the state have local runoffs too on both sides of the political spectrum I believe.

Find your polling site:
http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/PrecinctFinder.aspx

Polls are open from 6:30am to 7:30pm on Tuesday June 22nd.

Apparently it's worth your time to post that it isn't worth your time, though?

Election results will be posted here as they come in tomorrow:
http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/NC/17242/28286/en/summary.html

Here are the elections for federal and state positions.

US SENATE - DEM (Vote For 1)
Elaine Marshall (DEM)
Cal Cunningham (DEM)

NC STATE SENATE DISTRICT 21 - DEM (Vote For 1)
Eric L. Mansfield (DEM)
Lula Crenshaw (DEM)

US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISTRICT 8 - REP (Vote For 1)
Harold Johnson (REP)
Tim D'Annunzio (REP)

US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISTRICT 12 - REP (Vote For 1)
Greg Dority (REP)
Scott Cumbie (REP)

US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISTRICT 13 - REP (Vote For 1)
William (Bill) Randall (REP)
Bernie Reeves (REP)

The local elections in the triangle include:

Durham County - Natalie Beyer vs Stephen A. Martin for school board. 181 votes apart.

Orange County - There is a county schools runoff for school board between Anne Medenblik and Laura Nicholson. Only 67 votes separated them the first time.

Wake County - That District 13 Congressional race includes part of Wake County. To see if you live in that district you can zoom in here and see if you're in that green district that covers most of the north half of Wake & some of downtown: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/findyourreps.xpd Only 47 votes separated that.

Run off elections are fun because 1) they are necessarily nearly ties, so your vote is more of a deciding factor 2) run offs typically have a lower voter turn out, so your vote is more of a deciding factor.

Please, all who live in the 8th (Charlotte burbs extending towards Fayetteville), get out and vote for TIM D'ANUNZIO, so we can continue this hilarity:

Here's the Elaine Marshall official Election Night Results Party that is happening basically on the corner of campus (just past pullen park) and its open to the public. Cal's event is in Lexington I think, but Elaine lives a little south of Raleigh and works in Raleigh, so this is close to home base for her.

For anyone who is interested and hasn't heard, Elaine won. She knows how to run a statewide campaign whereas Cal was more focused on his old NC Senate District.
