guy worked for Ruckus for 3 years. I fired him on suspicion of stealing last April. Throughout his tenure at Ruckus, it was common for our drawer(s) to be $5, 10, 20 short pretty often. We were also broken into last July, and whoever it was went directly to where our auxiliary cash box was, and nowhere else.

Good riddance.

If not, why you got a late 40's guy working FOH at your place?

^^yes. I didn't hire him. He was there before I got there. Bit of a charity case, etc.

don't worry, he wasn't taking orders, or dealing with customers very much.

I bartended and traveled Europe with this guy:

http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2009/sep/29/stolen-painting-recovered/

Although not quite as bad as bank robberies, it was quite the talk of the town for a while.

fuck dude i never understood people who work jobs and steal sub $100

the shit obviously gets counted every day, and if you work a full time job and are that hard up for $20 then you need to re-evaluate your situation.

^lol this is kind of your fault willemjoel

I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

oh I knew full well of his situation--child support, back child support, 2 newborn children with a crazy crackhead woman. he was constantly borrowing money from employees. He also was reported by acquaintances that he smoked crack all the time. He often borrowed my car, and the last time he did, I rightfully accused him of taking it to buy drugs. He was fired the following week for stealing money from a deposit in my truck. It's weird, over the past 6 months, he's been coming in and paying people back. he told us he got a job at UPS. he'd also been coming into Ruckus about once per week over the past several months, having a drink or two.

he's been in prison before, in VA. 8 years, I think...armed robbery. the disappearing bits of money could've been attributed to several things, it just took a while to realize that it usually happened during one of his shifts.

He'd always borrow money to "buy pampers". he clearly had the shittinest babies on the planet.

^strangely enough, we all kinda called that he'd be in jail for something soon after. really never thought it would be for robbing banks. I still can't believe it.

aint that some shit

I am glad he did not rob you guys. A guy I worked with as a teenager turned around and robbed his old work at knifepoint 2 days after being fired....he got fucked when his accomplice accidentally uttered his real name during the robbery. He got caught, went to prison, and was then deported after completion of his sentence.

I'm fairly certain he's the one who broke in last July. Rock through the front door, money box gone. and a bottle of Jack.

why was he stealing 5,10, and 20 dollars from a register if he was robbing banks on the side?

he wasn't robbing banks then. he was, i suppose, trying to be as upstanding as possible. he didn't start robbing banks until a few months after i fired him. kinda saw it coming (not banks, per se).

this dude didn't practice hygiene. except for maybe wearing cologne.

as the news reports offer, his teeth are indeed "misshapen" to say the least.

"aleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police said Tuesday that the public was instrumental in helping investigators arrest a man wanted in a string of bank robberies in Raleigh and Cary that date to November.

James Milton Earquahart, 50, of 4700-B Brockton Drive in Raleigh, was charged Tuesday morning with five counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count each of assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

He was in the Wake County jail Tuesday afternoon under $2.4 million in bonds. A judge set his court date for July 13."

Damn, thats a LOT of money!

Michael Aaron Meares, 31, of 7350 Circlebank Drive, is accused of trying to fill nine prescriptions for drugs, including Oxycontin and Xanax, at four Raleigh pharmacies using forged prescriptions, according to arrest warrants.

Meares is charged with nine counts of obtaining property under false pretense, six counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and six counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and deliver.

He was being held under a $5 million bond at the Wake County jail on Friday"

is there supposed to be any scale or anything for bail. or do judges just reach over to a random number generator and pull something out
if there is a scale, how the purple fucking pumpkins is armed robbery and attempted murder below what (what amounts to) forgery?

Forgery? That second guy has six counts of heroin trafficking. That could be federal shit and he's probably a flight risk on top of that.
