I'm really trying to avoid regency park or places where you go and sit in the heat for 3 hours waiting for a 15 min show.

Is there a place to grill out at a park and see the fairgrounds fireworks? Or a place to view them that you can just pull up to 30 minutes before?

Camping at the beach would be fun but I don't think you can light anything off there.

What's everyone doing?

durham bulls games are fun. but then you are still sitting in the heat for hours waiting for a show

we used to watch at meredith when i was little but now that is all a soccer field/track/etc

you could just grill out with friends and do sparklers? or are you really into big fireworks?

do you have any friends that live of hillsborough street? cookout at their house and go to the UT parking deck to watch the fairgrounds fireworks!

just found out the cookout is actually on saturday (when most of the drunken shenaningans will occur), but will still be down at the beach, so I guess we'll do what all the "locals" are gonna be doing (looking at you poopface and jlancas03)

i always just park on the other side of the tracks across from hillsborough. Just go up western and take a right where college beverage is at. You will be on the road that connects on hillsborough where the hardware store is. Just pull in the gravel lot before you cross the tracks.
