Any reccommendations for a good local breakfast joint in raleigh?

Also, I haven't been back in three years, anything new worth checking out?

there are several threads here that are full of arguments and different opinions, but the consensus seems to be:

Big Eds
Farmers Market
Pam's
Brigs

and a couple other places downtown that I can't remember

the one in Cary is gone, and has been for several years. same story with the one that was on Capital/Brentwood. but there's a review for the one on Six Forks/Wake Forest as recent as a few days ago so i guess that one is still there.

Re: Courtney's ... there is one open near 64 and Lake Pine in Cary. Brigg's is better though, just usually too busy ...

Nobody mentioned Watkins Grill. On Atlantic Ave basically under the Capital overpass. Cash only, but cheap and DELICIOUS country breakfast.

Bogart's has a really nice and tasty Sunday brunch with live jazz. Don't think they serve it any other day though.

Of the places already mentioned, I'm partial to the farmer's market restaurant. Country ham plate with eggs over medium, grits, and biscuits...mmmmm.

Watkins Grill is a little too salty for me...and I love salt.

Also, the Confederate plate names are a little .
