I don't really know my plans yet. It all depends on if I have to work or not.

If I don't then I'll probably sit around and get drunk with some friends and watch the fireworks. Or I might just fall asleep and not even give a shit.

My Parent's house.
Havelock, NC

We have a big get-together with family (usually about 75-100 people). We have a pig-pickin', volley ball in the yard, horse shoes, skeet shooting, and pool stuff for the kids. Our cousins who drive up from Georgia usually spend a few thousand dollars on fireworks when they drive up and they put on a show that is always really good.

My husband is flying out to Colorado to join me for a long weekend
My boss was generous and OFFERED the time off to me - I didn't have to ask.

We'll stay in Denver b/c it's super cheap compared to Estes Park, but we'll end up driving in/through the park at least one day.

I'll be escaping the heat and humidity of NC for the North Shore (sound side) of Long Island, NY. 4 days of boating on the water by day and drinking (w/bonfire) on the beach at night is just the ticket

Though I imagine the 565 mile drive each way will be murder on a holiday weekend

I'm gonna walk one street over from my house and chill on the beach for most of the day. Then I'm going to walk back to the house and grill out with family and friends (maybe family...Mom is coming in for the weekend to help me move into the new house, but I don't think she's staying through the 4th).

Then going to take some chairs out to the perfect spot on the beach on Sullivans Island and watch fireworks set off on Sullivans, Isle of Palms, Downtown Charleston, and Folly Beach.

4th year in a row.
