Is summer...
Wait for sunlight. Go outside. Lay down on any paved surface.

There, I just saved you money.

do you have access to a microwave?

the best heating pad i've had was called like a lava pack or something. it was filled with a gel like substance and could be heated up in the microwave (then placed in protected cover) OR it could be frozen to double as an icepak.

it got SUPER hot. i don't have a link for it though. i've had mine for yearssssssssssss. but i'm pretty sure its something you can buy at like walgreens/walmart/cvs/etc.

you could also try the microwavable rice heating pads but i don't think those get as hot.

What is that supposed to mean??

I used one all the time when I had a pinched nerve that would give me back muscles spasms after I played basketball. Injuries happen to those of us who are active from time to time!
