Hmmm...is this a little too ambitious? I'm down about 20 lbs in 2 months so far, but it's time to seriously step up the game and cut out the weekend drinkfest and late night McDonalds.

CAN HE DO IT? IS THIS WHAT THE WORLD'S BEEN WAITING FOR?!!

Sure it's possible. Allow an hour a day for strenuous exercise like running or biking, and stick to a strict diet of the basics I would think: meat, vegetables and water.

When I broke my ankle 15 years ago, my weight stayed the same pretty much. Even though I was hustling across campus on crutches, I was drinking like a champ, and I didn't forgo much in the way of food.

Went from biking all the time to fucking nothing. It blew.

i lost the most weight the quickest when i lived on campus and biked everywhere

You can do it, but I'd be careful. Losing 5 lbs per week is probably at the upper limit of weight lost while working out. It is probably border-line unhealthy.

It really depends on how long you've been inactive, I believe.

im the opposite

i eat really, really healthy, and continued to do so.

but like 2-3 weeks of not going to bars every single night as part of my social agenda melted the lbs off.

who knew

i keep trying to eat healthy and watching my calories and exercising but i keep gaining weight

I'd imagine if I suffered a debilitating leg injury, my physique would suffer considerably

I've done a nice job of curbing my drinking from 5 nights a week to 2-3

But the lack of daily running, tennis or basketball, coupled with the Haagen Dazs I use as a coping mechanism when I'm depressed, would surely lead to significant lard buildup

from the best shape ive been in in quite some time to a schlub

i can pedal my bike (on a triangle trainer) now though, so soon

i wonder how much longer until i can do like squats and things haha

How tall are you? 225 is still pretty heavy unless you're real tall.

a year of reduced activity due to leg issues has turned me into a fat fuck. Breaking a leg is a surefire way not to lose weight.....

I too need to crack down on this shit, but lack motivation.

the second 20 will be much harder to lose than the first 20

I know when I did Atkins I dropped 20 pounds in the first month, then it took me a good 3 months to lose the second 20

^^In that case you're probably closer to 50-60 lbs. overweight. Definitely good to set your first goal at 225 and then go from there.

i can go from 205 to 185 in a week and a half easy


not recommending it, but in an emergency it is possibly if you want to look cut up real fast

two weks out im eatin 5 meals a day, no red meat just chicken and fish, vegetables, fresh fruits and "superfoods" dont really go into details about composition of each meal, just carbs are extremely limited, most of the come from the fruit i eat, i drink a lot of green tea, i AVOID juices its better not to drink them, fruit is enough

on the weekend i do not consume carbs (since I am not doin anything i do not need to consume them during the weekend) i still eat 5 times a day usually step on the scale monday 2 pounds less than friday

on monday i drink water by the gallon and cut out all sodium, if i drink 4 pounds of water i will piss out 6 the next day. I do that every day for the next 3 days. eating vegetables and lean chicken and fish i even stop eating fruit but I still drink low sodium drinks (personally i stick to the diet green tea its safe for me). on friday i consume nothing and work strenuously to get rid of as much water as possible by the end of the day i will have lost the 20-25 pounds

I work out twice daily everyday, long distance running, circuit lifting, and anaerobic activity no work out should be longer than 40 minutes of actual activity (not like the time blocked out it takes to comlpete the workout)

calories are not somethin i try to account for because honestly you need the calories, i dont particularly carb count my "carb reduction" is actually just limiting breads and carbs that are accounted for by sugars

sodium cutting is pretty fuckin important but you dont need to do that until 3 days before you need to look good, you need to be real careful of the foods you eat moreso than the drinks when it comes to sodium

ive taken bad cuts where i have been unable to move because ive actually stripped calories and unnecessarily limited carbs and ive had excellent cuts where ive still had plenty of enrgy because i did it as above.

if you gonna look good, you cant feel like shit it aint worth it

Yeah, what fighters do is crazy. Had a roommate who fought at a professional level and was training to compete in a worldwide tournament and he was on a ridiculous diet, supplement, and nutrition plan. He wouldn't even put seasonings on his food because he didn't know their nutritional content.

I never understood the whole all night sex thing

If I have my gameface on, I'm good for 4-5 times over the course of the night, but its all between midnight and three

I'm not staying up till 6 AM banging in 20 minute increments with 40 minute breaks in between

I nearly accomplished this through the miracle of dysentery. Say the word and I'll get my people down in Peru to send you a bottle of tap water. It's a two part process that involves not wanting to eat anything and also spending most of the day peeing out your butt.
