Nexus is boring without Danielson.
Brett DiBiase needs to heal really fast so he can get up and help Joe Hennig. There's plenty of mileage in the combinations of the third generation tag teams. 7/2/2010 2:19:30 PM |

I read some article on FoxNews or somewhere recently, had a list of all the pro wrestlers that have tied tragic deaths. It was ALOT, many that I remember from my childhood. Like Rick Rude, Bam Bam Bigelow, Big Boss Man, Junkyard dog.... Wish I could find it again 7/2/2010 2:28:22 PM |

holy shit when did Crush die? 7/2/2010 3:25:14 PM |

Crush died in '07 of a painkiller overdose.
I'm not sure I would call Andre's death tragic the same way as the ODs and the car crashes are. He was too big for a human cardiovascular system, and some would say he lasted longer than he should've.
The Iron Sheik is still alive.
BHS, what do you think of the rumor of a Dave Batista/Bobby Lashley match in Strikeforce? Lashley has real wrestling experience, but Batista wasn't a wrestler and certainly isn't a shooter. Will MMA fans accept them as shooters (especially Batista) if they're in a match together? ] 7/2/2010 6:51:16 PM |

i sure was oblivious as a kid to all the problems these wrestlers were having
like rick rude and brian pillman and british bulldog
rude was my hero as a 6 year old and i used to piss my poor mother off with that hip shake he always did 7/2/2010 11:06:06 PM |

i wasn't specifically talking about andre and iron sheik, just talking about that "era" of wrestlers.

Not fair to Batista, they say hes a natural at it but Bobby Lashley started out fighting on his level of experience and has since faced experienced opponents
its a money move to me it seems like they want to cash in before one of them loses (ahem see what could have been Fedor v.s. Overeem), theres no reason to start Batista out with someone with the grappling AND mma experience of Lashley no he hasnt fought in the UFC but hes fought and defeated some solid opposition.
So I hope that does not happen let Batista get a few soft opponents first in small orgs like Lashley did. Like I said they are just afraid that OMG someone might lose and the Lashley v. Batista will not put asses in the seats...so they will do it straight away
i think the fans....fuck the fans....haha they still think brock lesnar isnt a serious mixed martial artist because he was in WWE, the fans will accuse lashley/batista of being a work before the botu agreement is ever signed. NEVERMIND PRIDE favorites Sakuraba and Barnett were heavily involved in pro wrestling
