That short barreled AK probably isn't real if that is in the US. It would require some paperwork being filed with the BATF in order to be legal because the barrel is less than 16". It certainly could be and I'm not an expert in AK's, but judging by the other shit in the case, I feel the need to doubt it.

Advice: How long before a birthday or gift giving holiday do you ask a child what he/she wants as a gift? I know if you ask a month in advance, the chance of them losing interest over time is great, whereas if you ask him a day in advance, it'll ruin the surprise. By intuitive logic, I would find my asking about 14 days or 2 weeks before the special occasion in hopes that the element of surprise would somewhat resurface. Is there anything counterintuitive that I may be missing?

my parents always asked me 1-2 months prior when i was young young because I would forget I wanted it and then it would be a total surprise when I opened it. They also asked me to write my christmas list soon after my october birthday as I got older so they could start looking for deals.
