it's interesting that he's such a good shoot fighter
considering he constantly fucked up his moves when the other guy was cooperating with him 7/4/2010 4:13:42 AM |

Congratulations to Brock Lesnar! And at least we're not Johnny-come-latelies to the Brock bandwagon! 7/4/2010 5:03:50 AM |

so lesnar got hammered in the first round
then composed himself and won
but since carwin did so well, perhaps a rematch is in order
where carwin will perfect his winning strategy
and take the title to the delight of the assembled crowd
---
i wonder who could've come up with that?
it's too bad there aren't any major wwe executives who have left the company lately, they'd be great at building a storyline like that
OH WAIT
and all dana has to say about shane joining ufc is "NO COMMENT" 7/5/2010 6:34:25 AM |

in 2006, WWE expressed interest in promoting MMA events in tandem with pride fc
this was mostly shane's idea, those his father supported it
shortly after shane appeared at a pride event, though, zuffa bought pride
shane resigned from WWE last year and has practically disappeared
there's speculation that he's working with UFC now
but dana won't comment on it
and you know there's not a lot dana won't comment on
angle-building is something that UFC isn't great at, and shane's a master
just sayin' 7/5/2010 6:46:44 AM |

Carwin was out of fucking steam by round 2. Brock laid there and let him punch him to death. Brock could probably feel his punches getting weaker and weaker. 7/5/2010 11:51:24 AM |

Dude has no endurance, reminds me of mike tyson and how your chances of surviving skyrocket if you get passed round 1 with him 7/5/2010 1:42:06 PM |

Lesnar kept acting like he has a strong jaw, but he went down way too easily in round 1.
Once he got hit by Carwin once or twice standing up, he covered his face in fear and crumpled on the ground. And don't tell me that was some rope-a-dope strategy to tire Carwin out. Yes, Lesnar (barely) survived the round and showed superior fitness in taking him down easily in round 2, but that fight very nearly got called with about a minute to go in the first round.
A good striker who can sprawl and/or knee Lesnar to the head when he shoots ought to beat him. In fact, I would bet on Carwin to win in a rematch.
Good fight. Would watch again. 7/5/2010 1:51:11 PM |

Carwin would not win a rematch because lesnar now knows all he has to do is tire him out. What's different about this fight was the element of surprise. 7/5/2010 2:04:24 PM |

what exactly was the element of surprise? lesner being punched in the head?7/5/2010 4:29:49 PM |

The fact that carwin gets easily tired is the surprise! we thought he had more endurance.
