I want to get a calling card to call Internationally, specifically to China. I know where to get them and how much they cost. But I want to specifically know how to use them.
I only have a cell phone, I think I can still use a calling card with that. Will a calling card still deduct from my minutes of calling time with my cell phone?
I have sprint, and I have unlimited calling after 7:00 PM. If I use the calling card then, will it still count off my minutes after 7:00 PM? 7/4/2010 1:35:53 PM |

ok. i don't know if this is right but i feel like the minutes on your calling card have nothing to do with your phone minutes
if you are using your phone, you are using minutes on your phone plan (unless you are after 7pm) even if you are using a calling card
if you call after 7pm, you will be on unlimited phone minutes but that doesn't affect your calling card minutes which you will still be using up because they are part of the calling card NOT your phone plan

have you looked into the international rates/plans with your cell phone provider? that may be a lot easier 7/4/2010 2:27:51 PM |

You'll have an 800 number to call to use your calling card, then you'll enter in the info from your card and the number you want to call, and the call will go through the 800 number. So for your phone bill, it will be just like you talked to an 800 number for however long 7/4/2010 3:44:16 PM |

That's what I thought.

I'm fine with that, and I've talked it over with her, and she seems fine with it as well.

As it stands now, I'm still on my parent's plan. When I graduate this December, I'll be able a lot more freedom in what I can do.

I have to wait until she gets a laptop. When she gets a laptop I will be able to do that. And as you know, she won't be able to get a hold of me at anytime.
^^ Thank you petejames

For now, I'm more worried about not costing my parents any money, as I know International calling can be extremely expensive if you're not using something like a calling card or an International calling plan for your phone (cell or land line).7/4/2010 4:29:47 PM |
