I have a hard time deciding which is more boring out of baseball and soccer.

Then I remember that soccer often features more than one or two people from each team moving around the field at a time, while baseball features a bunch of guys standing around in the dirt.

Then I remember that in baseball, a .3 batting average is considered good. In no other sport does something semi-interesting only happen at best a third of the time.

I guess that's fair to a degree. But a counter to that is that it takes the most technical skill and most hand-eye coordination to be able to perform at the highest level.

Yes, football is "America's game" because no one outside of America and maybe parts of Canada care for it in the least. Baseball is a more global game. But, as the steroid era has taught us, there are no more sacred sports records to the American psyche than baseball's. That is simply inarguable.

soccer is a lot more fun to play than watch. Also, when I played, there was no "flopping". I wonder at what point in a soccer players' career are they taught to flop, I played up until high school and I never once had the urge to flop in order to try and get the ref to blow his whistle - and I played striker which is without question the position where most flopping occurs.

even though soccer is more fun to play than watch, I still enjoy watching it. I also have tons of respect for the players, I truly believe soccer players are in the best physical condition than any other athlete in the world. Back when I played for my school team we would practice for 2-3 hours a day after school (we also sometimes had practice in the mornings before school started), half of the practice time was spent doing nothing but running

I also find it funny how the majority of people who talk shit about soccer wouldnt last half of the game on the field.
