Just remember
All certified electricians are registered
But all registered electricians are not necessarily certified 7/14/2010 9:31:29 AM |

If it's something small (<$500), Progress Energy has a program where you pay a few bucks a month extra on your bill, and you get up to $500 worth of electrical work for no additional cost.
Then just cancel the program after you've reached the $500 limit....but that's of no use of you don't have PE 7/14/2010 9:42:37 AM |

is there a difference between certified and licensed? 7/14/2010 11:05:21 AM |

I have a feeling she wants a "licensed electrical contractor" which I am not.
I might get that Homewire deal, have them install a ceiling fan and some new light fixtures, and then cancel it the next month. I could do it all myself, but I'd rather someone else crawl around in the 120 degree attic right now.

^ problem is they only allow $100 per year for ceiling fans and light fixtures, and there's a one month waiting period before they'll do anything 7/14/2010 2:01:08 PM |

ugh.. guess i'll just take the fan back and get a stand up. 7/15/2010 10:41:32 AM |
