If her Daddy is pulling favors with Joe Cheshire, she's got money.

He is one of the best and most well known criminal defense attorneys in the state: http://www.cheshirepark.com/jbcheshire.html

He was also on the Greg Taylor innocence case, etc.

I remember he defended some of the kids in the Duke LAX case, but thought he was also involved in the tailgate shooting case.

She probably got a call from Joe, not the other way around. Ram's club/UNC Admin types lined this up.

That being said, definitely guilty as sin, but a good chance that she's just a pawn being used by their sleazy network. Get her to crack and give the goods.

^4x, Cheshire isn't going to come out in the open and say the Ram's club and the UNC administration put him on this. It is much more important for UNC than it is for her to keep quiet.

he's talking like this was an act of god, not the result of his stupid decisions

people also doubted him because it took him like 3 years after high school to get admitted to UNC, which we have seen doesn't exactly have the most stringent academic requirements for athletes

they gave him a free burrito because he complained his last one was sloppy, not because he thought it was great. keep up.

Welp, glad to see that Fedora is keeping up with Davis in terms of cheating. Held a big scrimmage at a Charlotte school on Friday, during the time that coaches aren't supposed to have any contact with recruits and prospects.

of course YOU wouldn't see anything wrong with giving the NCAA a huge middle finger. you also don't think Butch Davis knew anything was going on

it's pretty obvious there's nothing illegal about having off campus scrimmages at high schools. the thing was rained out anyway

i'm sure it's not illegal. doesn't mean he's not skirting the rules and being shady. "Hey coach, you're not supposed to talk to kids right now." "OK, I'll just put my massive media machine right around them, instead"

If TOB came close to violating NCAA rules while the team was on probation this board would be ablaze with fire TOB shit. Hop down off your objectivity horse.

yes. putting your whole team in front of a bunch of kids at their school is not in any way a type of "contact." You can have scrimmages all you want at local high schools. But doing it during the "quiet period" is about as close to breaking the rules as you can come, especially for a team on probation. Seriously, you don't think doing that in Charlotte, where most of the state's recruits come from, isn't an attempt at "contact"? Why not wait another week until the quiet period is over?

definitely not in the spirit of the "no contact" to go show up and use facilities at a school with a bunch of recruits but I doubt anything comes of it unless they actually went up and tried talking to potential recruits directly

I'm surprised that Swofford could muster up the courage to have someone write the reprimmand for him to agree with.

If he had to sign it then I'm sure there are tear stains on the paper and that the pen he used was quickly burned.

why should Luke Decock write about the NFL draft or Bryce Harper or Derrick Rose?

feel bad for those radio guys, they were trying their best to keep that interview going, sheesh, #lotsofdeadtime

i will say this, in all honesty, regardless of his academic acumen, if he can somehow keep his head on straight and make a team, wouldn't surprise me at all to see him have a good NFL career. I saw him catch just about everything thrown to him and he's not afraid to go over the middle.
