If Mark Zuckerberg is connected to this film, they have free advertising to over 400 million people. Thats pretty unique.

If David Fincher thought it was a good idea, odds are it was a good idea.

heard about this movie, thought it sounded like an awful idea.

then i saw jesse eisenberg was starring in it, and i like him.

then i saw david fincher was directing, and he's a good, if somewhat inconsistent, director.

then i saw the trailer, and i was sold. i think this'll be good.

Hey, I just saw this movie and really liked it. It does come across more like a filmed play than most of Fincher's movies, but works for this one. Reznor's score is nice and moody, and Eisenberg acts as a smarter version of the little prick he played in The Squid and the Whale. They had a Q&A after the screening I saw, and Eisenberg comes off as the same little asshole he plays in all his movies. I'm just waiting for a buddy flick to come out with him and Michael Cera where they make a million dollars for playing themselves.

Anyways, it's worth it. Especially if you can see it for free.

I really hope that means 78 people like The Charlotte Observer

either way...seems pretty inappropriate

the England crew scene is still blowing my mind

also Timberlake was pretty funny

quite an energetic film: it could have easily been four hours and I wouldn't have noticed

yes. that was the first thing I commented on when the movie finished. I really loved that scene and how it was shot.

[Edited on October 2, 2010 at 12:09 AM. Reason : oh, and I enjoyed it overall. not a bad way to spend two hours.]

I read that Mark Zuckerberg try to get away from the movie because they made him out as a total douchebag.

This movie was thoroughly entertaining, but it wasn't made for its entertainment value. It is an interesting, thought-provoking film, and it is expertly directed, acted, and written. In other words, it is a true work of art. It comes off as a modern-day Citizen Kane in more ways than one. Not really in regards to quality (although this is one of the movies of the year, it should not be compared with CK in terms of quality), but in terms of its story, its themes and convictions, and its pacing.

Probably going to sound like a ponce here, but what is the England crew scene you guys are referring to?

Winkelvii ...yeah, I'd have to see the movie again; that scene really threw me off. Seemed like a scene from a whole 'nother movie. I think that was the point, though. It's definitely an attention-grabber.

I kind of interpreted that scene as showing the twins were off their game because of Mark stealing their idea.

I thought the purpose of showing the twins losing the race was to hint that it contributed to their decision to sue Mark, since they weren't angry enough to decide to sue Mark (and effectively hurt their image as "Harvard gentleman," according to them) until they lost the race. It was subtle commentary on the nature of frivolous lawsuits in our America, to me (although, clearly, the Winkelvii's lawsuit isn't nearly as frivolous as others out there).

But, that's just a straight guess, obviously.

I kinda liked Zombieland, but yeah I agree he's kinda annoying, but his character style is equal to that of being a nerd instead of Shia trying to over act and think he is smart like a nerd... Really annoying.

Still, I probably won't see this movie just for the fact that a movie about facebook really seems stupid. Kind of funny how it was the #1 movie of this weekend pulling in like 25 million. Kinda sad.
