there's a group for pretty much everything. i say go for it! i don't really have the time or energy to make new friends though

I think it's a good way to get involved in stuff when you don't know anyone. Say, when you're moving to a new area.

good call. i just found a pick up soccer game in the area for this weekend. so that is nice. i think i might like this idea very much and wish i knew about it when i lived in VA

there is a HUGE rock climbing meetup group. i actually try to avoid the gym though when they are there because.... well, there's a ton of them. i hate having to wait for a route.
