They had these at my middle school. But not the kind like they sell in convenience stores--the ones we had were the ones that came out of the machine unflavored and you squirted syrup into them. (or should I say you told the lunchlady which flavor you wanted and she syruped it up). Man, those were good.

I've never seen the unflavored ones since middle school. Some gas stations have "slush puppies" with the correct logo, but they come in 2 premixed flavors like ICEES. Do Not Want.

hell yes. the convenient store near my house had that exact machine when I was growing up. I always put in extra squirts of the syrup, and i always regretted it like an hour later

It just seems like the texture wouldn't be right. It would be hard to maintain the proper slush consistency in one of those and it seems like it would end up more like an Icee.
