Backstory
Someone hit a deer with their car and brought it to my dad (Vet) so we nursed it back to health. Doelores was her name. She slept in the azalea bushes in front of the house. We fed her through a bottle with formula. Eventually dad got the state to get the deer and release it back into the wild.
A few months later there was a story in the newspaper written by some irate people claiming that hunters were terrible terrible people. Apparently this couple in a trailer park claimed that their daughter had a way with animals and she befriended this wild deer. The deer would eat fruit loops out of her hand and would let the girl pet it. The deer was killed by a hunter and that was the end of it. We figured that the state released the deer somewhere up the road, it made it's way back to humans, and was shot soon after.
