It's now worse than flickr on yahoo.

When I do a search now, say for "Charles Dera" "Jayden James" "Brazzers", the whole photoshoot comes up on the first few pages, as opposed to 7=8 pages like before

You can't even switch between pages on that shit. Okay, I take that back, but what they did is even worse: They put about 7 pages of search results into one fucking enormous page. Why? Google isn't stupid, so why the hell are they trying this ugly-ass reduced-functionality mess?

The point of showing the URL is to have a quick way to disregard that particular image/link without having to click on it. Having to mouse over something just to be able to ignore it completely defeats the purpose.


And, to clarify, I rarely ever use Image Search to find nothing but a context-free image (which seems to be the entire purpose of the new Google layout)... that's treating it like fucking clip art with a bigger image library. I use Image Search to find image-heavy sites or albums which are likely to contain similar images to the one(s) I searched for. (I'm not even trying to talk about porn searches here, either, but I just realized the same thing is true for those too)

How amateurish. I'd say that anyone who only used image search like that wasn't really taking full advantage of the search engine. Why just find one context-free image when you could find a whole index full of them?

Now, of course, the whole thing is just one big unsorted context-free mashup of images. Bleh.

Bing's format was a lot less attractive to me than the old Google search function...

but with the way the new Google Images lays out the differently-sized pictures in such a goddamned ugly/cluttered way, I might have to switch to bing images. At least it still uses some kind of a grid.


This disappoints me, too. I've got brand loyalty towards google, and I absolutely hate Bing commercials. But right now Bing has a better-looking image search.

I'd much rather go from page to page in a numbered index of pages than just have an endless scroll. It makes it easier to keep track of things you've already passed by that you might want to refer back to (which is very useful in situations related to, say, academic research. Which, granted, has nothing to do with google images, but is a good example of a situation in which you'd want to refer back to earlier results that you may have passed by or closed).


...Or do other people just have such a slow internet connection or slow browser that they can't stand the wait between result page 1 and result page 2? Is that it?
