I am wondering what are the pro's and con's of jail breaking my 3GS Iphone. I've had it a little over a year and about to go to work in Iraq again. I've heard my phone will work with another Sims card over there if i jail break it. Thanks for your input.

It looks like if you want to use it over there you have no choice.

If you decide you don't like it you can always buy a new one once you're stateside again.

please note that jailbreak is not unlocking it, which is what you sound like you need...most unlocking happens during the jailbreak process, usually just a checkbox, but still...jailbreaking and unlocking is a great idea as long as someone knowledgeable does it.
