Simmons mentioned this week that the entire premise of Seinfeld would be blown if they had smartphones.

Think about how many episodes revolved around just missing somebody or not being able to get in touch until it was too late.

The show would never work in today's world.

no seinfeld would bash the idiocy of assuming text messages are 100% reliable and timely, iPhones never have signal when you need it 2 miles outside the city limits, and more people communicate on facebook than in real life.
