Hmm, let's see here. On one hand we have zoos where we keep wild and bred animals in captivity for people to see, learn about, and many times, become more aware of their plights, endangerment, nature's need for them, etc, resulting in more people caring more about animals. On the other hand, we have no zoos, we leave the animals in the wild, most people never see them, thus never care for them, and care less to protect them.
