Is it better to buy fresh (never frozen) meat from a lesser-quality institution, such as food lion, or buy high-quality meat from a reputable butcher in bulk and freeze it for later?

We buy all our meat from Costco and deep freeze it. I can't taste the difference between it and fresh. which is really all that matters imo
