Last thread was two years old. Been here for a year now. Although I like Philadelphia, the amount of trash on the streets and sidewalks was a shock after having grown up in Charlotte which has a reputation for being very clean.

I was actually born and raised in Philadephia; west Philadelphia to be exact. It's a great area for chilling out and enjoying outdoor sports, basketball being my favorite after school pastime.

I truly enjoyed my time there, though I eventually settled in Bel Air as I neared adulthood.

I don't really have time to go out during the week. Then I'm in OCMD for the weekend.

What part of Philly are you from?

That's way north of Philly.

Minkagrl01, would you like to hang out and get something to eat in Philly sometime?

Philly is fun. I go there to visit family once a year. It smells like urine in the summer though.

If you are up for some hipster bowling, Lucky Strike lanes are right around the corner.

So around where are most of you from? I was born in Bethlehem, raised in Oaks (Montgomery County), and currently live in Drexel Hill. I actually hadn't heard of NC State until my sister (who goes to Duke for grad school) recommended it, and I loved it more than Penn State and Pitt. And ironically, it is cheaper for me to go to NC State than Pitt or Penn STate.

I was raised in Hatboro and Fishtown, moved to NC before college, and moved back to PA last year. Right now I'm working out in Exton but I'm looking for a job either in or at least closer to the city. Traveling this far out sucks.

I grew up in Wynnewood. Went to Lower Merion. Kobe was 2 years older than me. Stayed close. Went to UDel. Nova for grad. Thinking about UPenn for an MBA if I want to do a career change and go the wall street route. GF is pushing me to. Living and working in Wilmington DE right now.

NJ transit was only $15 from NYC and about 90 min. Not bad considering I purchased the ticket about 30 min prior to departure.

I'll be in Philly to see the Phillies vs. Braves game but the NCSU vs. FSU game is earlier that day. Does anyone know of a good bar to watch the game? I'll be with another alum if anyone wants to get together.
